IDIOMS
My task was to illustrate several idioms.
“Be left out in the cold” means “to be ignored, forgotten and neglected”. Example: As soon as she went to the table where the group was sitting, they stopped talking
A storm in a teacup: great outrage or excitement about a trivial matter
black sheep: a disfavored or disreputable member of a group
Elephant in the room: an obvious major problem or issue that people avoid discussing or acknowledging
Être dans la lune: to daydream, to pay zero attention
Tomber dans les pommes: to faint, to lose consciousness
